Production Manager Kenya (m/f/d)

Volmary GmbH is an independent, medium-sized family business. We grow flowers and vegetables and sell young plants and seeds to the commercial horticulture sector worldwide. Through our Volmary® brand concept, we are also widely known and appreciated by gardening enthusiasts in the hobby sector.

For our production site in Naivasha, Kenya, we are looking for a full-time Production Manager (m/f/d).

YOUR TASKS:

·      Production management of the Volmary mother plant in Kenya

·      Planning of the production units (including elite)

·      Preparation of the schedule for the (seasonal or annual) production process and monitoring and adherence to the plan

·      Supervision of availabilities

·      Monitoring of production processes in the greenhouse (mother plant)

·      Monitoring of plant protection processes (total IPM)

·      Supervision of breeding

·      Communication with the production managers in Germany regarding production and quality

YOUR PROFILE:

·      Degree or vocational qualification in the field of horticulture

·      At least 10 years of professional experience with management responsibility in horticulture, ideally with experience abroad and experience in the production of mother plants.

·      You work responsibly, are flexible, find fulfilment in working with plants and enjoy working in a large, motivated team.

·      German and English language skills (business fluent). Kiswahili beneficial.
