Volmary Locations


At Volmary, tradition, innovation, sustainability and future-orientated action are closely intertwined. This is of course also reflected in the processes and procedures at our national and international sites. Each of our sites specialises in a specific production area in order to produce as efficiently and to the highest quality standards as possible for our customers. That is why, in addition to our decades of experience

and, of course, our gardeners.

Not only are the processes at each location coordinated with each other, but the cross-location processes also interlock precisely, enabling us to achieve smooth production chains.


Location Kaldenhof

Innovation with tradition

Kaldenhof® in Münster, Westphalia, is not only home to the company's headquarters, but also to our plant breeding centre. Since 1925, new and improved varieties have been bred at Volmary, now in its third generation - this is where tradition meets innovation.

Thanks to extensive tests and trials on our trial fields, we can guarantee the usual high Volmary quality for our entire range. This is how the Volmary plant breeders at Kaldenhof® manage to further improve tried and tested varieties and breed new high-quality varieties. So that our customers can also see the quality of our range for themselves, we invite them to various plant shows every year and open the gates of the Kaldenhof.

Here, our guests can get their own impression of our varieties and the entire Volmary range directly on site in the show fields or in the greenhouses. The elite plants for mother plant production are also supplied from Kaldenhof® to our locations in Kenya and Turkey.

Location Kenya

Africa is the cradle of our plants

We have our largest mother plant location at Volmary in Naivasha (Kenya). Thanks to the climate, the conditions here are ideal for our mother plants and therefore also for our cuttings, which are grown from the elites from Kaldenhof. Here in Kenya, many millions of unrooted cuttings are produced each year. These are then sent to our individual production sites in Germany, England and Poland.

Location Turkey

There is a lot of expertise here

Our site in Antalya is one of the world's leading suppliers of cuttings. Here, too, we utilise the ideal climate to grow cuttings from the rushes from Kaldenhof. Unrooted cuttings of perennials, herbs and bedding plants in various genera and diverse varieties are produced here. These are then sent to our young plant nurseries for rooting.

Location Senden

Everything grows together here

Our logistics centre is located in Senden, in the heart of Münsterland. All the plants we produce are dispatched from here every year and, thanks to our strong logistics, delivered to our customers safely and with vitality. But it's not just shipping that takes place here - seeds are germinated in the climate chambers and cuttings are rooted in the greenhouses. Young plants are then hardened off in the convertible greenhouse and in the shade room and prepared for dispatch.

We also produce young plants from the complete range of bedding and balcony plants, potted plants, perennials and young vegetable plants. Thanks to the latest technology and a sustainable energy and supply concept, we fulfil our environmental protection requirements to a particularly high degree.

Location Selm

Organic is simply logical here

Only organic young plants from the herb and vegetable range are produced at our site in Selm. Our young plants undergo a strictly defined production process in the greenhouses. By using beneficial organisms and Multikraft® products, the plants are strengthened naturally from the outset. This enables us to ensure the production of high-quality organic young plants in Volmary quality. This high quality has also been confirmed by our organic certificate.

Location Beerlage

You can't get away from the perennials here

Volmary young plants and especially perennials are produced at our site in Beerlage. In addition to the production of lavender, a large proportion of the perennials we produce are grown here. However, some of our bedding and balcony plants propagated by cuttings are also produced here. Our high-quality verbenas, fuchsias and pelargoniums in particular can take root here and develop into high-quality young plants.

Location Poland

Perennials from the convertible

In addition to the production of young bedding and balcony plants for the Polish market, the main focus at our site near Warsaw is on meristem propagated young plants. A large proportion of the young plants produced here are perennials. Our PowerLiner® perennials from the 40-plate in particular are optimally hardened off and overwintered here. The functional convertible roof systems of the greenhouses are used for this purpose. Here, too, our location enables us to serve an important market directly on site.

Location UK

Everything goes according to "plant"

In England, we mainly produce young plants and, in particular, young perennials. These are mainly supplied within England and also to Ireland. This enables us to supply this important market with high-quality plants directly on site. Here too, we attach great importance to sustainability. This is why the site is mainly supplied with heat from wood waste and renewable energy from PV systems.
